Patience is a virtue

I wish more of you had...

But seriously, here's the new deal! I noticed that my SP was sent through the gmail account to my personal aol account. I accidentally intercepted it in the gmail account... that was at 9:04 am today. It has not shown up in my inbox, yet. So, please, please, please be patient. If you have not heard anything from any of us by Saturday night (uh, like midnight) then please feel free to send an email to SP6hostesses@gmail.com (we are able to recieve there) I understand your point, and know that you are oh so very excited, but remember we are too! Don't forget to say hi to your pal as soon as you know who he/she is, okay? I am still waiting to find out everyone's status, I will let you know as soon as I know. Keep the excitement, just with a little more patience, okay?

I really don't mean to be rude.

Because seriously, I appreciate the job you guys are doing a lot.

HOWEVER...

The comments you are getting on the site, and I suspect on email too, are mostly due to the fact that your text of the easy does it message was VERY confusing. You said we should have gotten a message that a lot of us have not yet received. I don't think anyone is huffing at you, and yet your last few posts have seemed like you are getting impatient with US.

Maybe that's not your intention, but here on the internet, we can't tell that. All the people on the site have been curious but not rude. Unless you've gotten some really rude emails, I don't see the reason for the offensive.

What I've been doing to pass the time is reading everyone's blogs (linking from the comments) and wondering if I will get them and if I got them, what I would send them first. It's kind of fun, actually. It's like Fantasy Secret Pal.

This probably makes it look like I have tons of free time, which couldn't be farther from the truth. Honestly. Off to tend small children now...

I am not trying to sound rude or obnoxious, and we are trying really hard to get to the bottom of the issues we are having. There are almost 600 of you with 6 hostesses and a gmail account that only allows so many emails to be sent per day or it shuts down for 48 hours. So we are getting comments and emails (the latter, we can't even reply to) And we all have different schedules. It seems some of the emails are not going through, as I said - I know that I was sent my Pal but it hasn't shown up in my inbox exactly 10 hours later. We are trying very hard not to leave you in the dark. All of the hostesses have sent an email introducing themselves and that is why I posted Easy Does It. BTW- I did not get my email either and we are trying to figure out why...so I am just trying to let you all know so that we don't have to keep going back and forth on an email system that won't let us reply.
Thank you again, and again for your continued patience.

Well, somethings are going right. I got both of my pals, the one I will be spoiling and the one who will be spoiling me. I am part of Christine's group. I got all of those email she mentioned so at least something is working. Hang in there and Happy Knitting.

I'm in Cecily's group and I received the email telling who I will be spoiling. Yeah! Thanks, Cecily and all you generous hostesses for your efforts! I'm suggesting management give you a big fat raise as you're not being paid enough. Hee hee.

Thanks for all your hard work. I know how difficult it can be to manage lots of bits of information.

Good thing gmail has such strong anti-spam capabiliites huh?

I wanted to thank all the hostesses for being so hardworking. Most of the people are just impatient to get started on being good gift givers (so we can't be too hard on them, eh?) Keep up the good work, this will be the best SP ever.

Would it help with the Gmail issues if you gave each hostess an email address for the people in her group to correspond with her? That would distribute what I'm sure is a deluge of SP6 emails among several addresses, and the hostesses could then coordinate with one another.
